There was a movie I once watched called The Odd Life of Timothy Green. It’s actually a pretty sad story all things considered, but I just couldn’t help but think about the Zetsu as I watched this movie. I mean, a boy that appears to be part plant appearing because his parents bury a box full of dreams. I mean, that was some real “Creation of All Things Technique” stuff right there, and reminded me of when Hagoromo created the Tailed Beasts out of the Ten-Tails. I mean, Hagoromo didn’t exactly… bury a box of dreams to create the various Tailed Beasts, but Hagoromo’s utilizing of Yin-Yang Release took the imaginary and gave it form. His desire to protect the people by splitting the Ten-Tails into nine different Beasts gave rise to this split, and the creation of nine unique personalities simply by willing it so. It also for some reason reminds me of the First Pirate Court binding Calypso into human form with their nine Pieces of Eight. But that’s another analogy entirely, and one that could equally spur a separate What-If that I may put a pin into for later. But anyway, the movie made me think about the Ten-Tails and its ability to generate life, as well as its feral nature and how Kaguya Otsutsuki had fused with it and made me wonder what if Naruto were the Ten-Tails?
