About Jay Wong
One of Jay's ambition at a young age was to become a professional chef. Even though a chef does not need advanced degrees, he decided to pursue a tertiary education in the United States and has completed an MBA in Marketing and Finance.
Upon graduation, Jay worked for 5 years as a Marketing Analyst. He subsequently joined a leading bakery and confectionery manufacturing company in California as a controller. It was in that environment that he developed a strong passion for baking. His keen interest led him to interact with top industry baking professionals and he continues to strive in the bakery field, always sharing and exchanging ideas while learning the finer art of baking.
Sweet Sensation was the first bakery book published by Jay 10 years ago. He has since performed baking demonstrations in Malaysia as well as in Singapore, Taiwan and China. He likes to travel around, meeting new friends in the industry, and pursuing his love of baking and the art of decoration.
