Low Pressure Over Bay of Bengal Triggers Thunderstorm Alert in 18 Districts | Odisha Weather Update

Описание: ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟ ଲଘୁଚାପ ପ୍ରବାବରେ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ କିଛି ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ବର୍ଷ ସହ ଝଡତୋଫାନ ହୋଇଛି। ଦୁଇ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ବଜ୍ରପାତ ଓ ଝଡ଼ତୋଫାନ ନେଇ ୧୮ ଜିଲ୍ଲାକୁ ସତକର୍ତା ଜାରି ହୋଇଛି।

A low-pressure area formed over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has triggered heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning across several parts of Odisha. The system is moving west-northwestwards, impacting both North and South Odisha.

The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a Yellow Warning for 18 districts till 8:30 AM today, while 15 districts remain on alert for tomorrow.

Districts likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) include Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and Bhadrak.

Residents are advised to stay alert, avoid open fields during lightning, and follow official weather advisories.
