Описание: Tensions in the South China Sea have reached a boiling point following the latest confrontation between the Philippine Navy and the Chinese Coast Guard. Members of the Chinese Coast Guard boarded and used machetes and axes to damage 2 Philippine Navy rifles. Several Filipino Navy members were injured. The Philippine military chief compared the incident to an act of piracy demanding that China return the guns and pay for the damage. Author of "The Coming Collapse of China" and "China is Going to War", Gordon Chang, joins to talk to us more about this incident between the Chinese Coast Guard and the Philippine Navy and what sparked it. Chang discusses what China's objective is. He explains more about the involvement of the United States as we have a mutual defense treaty with the Philippines and whether he thinks this may reach a point where the US will have to step in. Meanwhile, there's some new information about the US talking with China regarding nuclear threats and Taiwan. Chang tells us more about that.
