We are heading over to the state of Victoria for the first time to complete our first parkrun in the state. Just a little bit out from the centre of Melbourne, we loved this one lapper so I highly reccomend it if you get the chance!

Westerfolds PARKRUN! A challenging undulating parkrun in the suburbs of Melbourne and the first in Victoria! A 1 lapper all around the Westerfolds park which was stunning, but some killer hills towards the end of the run which killed my time off! The parkrun is located at Westerfolds Park, Templestowe. Join me as I provide an in-depth review and running tips for my Westerfolds parkrun experience.

Westerfolds Parkrun starts near the main carpark off the Fitzsimons Lane entrance and runners follow an anti-clockwise direction along sealed pathway. The route does not cross any roads.

Buggies/prams are allowed at this parkrun and dogs are also allowed. There are public toilets in the park too, less than a 5 minute walk from the start. As the route is on a surfaced paths only, road shoes are reccommended! In terms of how busy the parkrun is, it is an average size with an average of 209 runners/joggers/walkers a week. It did get congested towards the start, as the paths were not too wide, so if you are going for a PB get out near the front. As it is a one lapper with no path being used twice, thankfully it doesn't get congested again.

The weather was very warm on the day and it even hit 40 degrees in the afternoon. The atmosphere was great and the volunteers made it a fun morning celebrating their 589th event! This is the 73rd parkrun I have recorded on the channel of which you can find a playlist of them below:

I will be doing parkruns all over the UK and rest of the world! Every Saturday I take part in a 5K run trying my hardest to get under 20 mins. Westerfolds Parkrun is a great run to tick off the "W" on the alphabeteer challenge and is the 5th "W" I have done! Let me know if you have ever completed the course. Hope you enjoy the video.
