1 lemon
1 inch fresh ginger root, chopped (peeling is optional)
1 inch fresh turmeric root, chopped (or 1/2 tsp ground turmeric)
pinch of black pepper

1 1/2 to 2 tbsp raw honey, to taste (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
Pinch of black pepper (essential for the body to absorb the curcumin in turmeric)
