Looking Back (A Storied Past) | Emotional Relaxing Guitar Instrumental

Описание: This marks my first time utilizing tapping in a meaningful capacity for a track. The main riff / melody is centered around C# minor7 - B Major7 - A Major7 - B Major7 with some flourishes around G# minor as a transition chord. As always, my playing style is very much influenced by blues / emotion and the more I added melody layers the more the emotion came through.

I spent hours upon hours searching for the right image and idea to represent what this song eventually became. The weight that falls with the 3rd melody (added in the second verse at 1:42) made me realize this song was much more heavy than I thought.

We are all a product of our experiences and pasts; sometimes the weight of what we’ve been through and experienced nearly breaks you / pushes you to your knees. I know some days the things I’ve survived feel heavier than others. Those who have gone through pain know and can relate first hand to how much you are willing to put yourself through just to protect others from being hurt. Despite our best efforts, sometimes we inevitably hurt people as well.

Kakashi ultimately perfectly represents this. Only when the days slow down do you wind up feeling / experiencing the pain and weight of things. I know I myself can tend to push myself to keep moving just in a futile / exhaustive effort just to not be alone with painful memories. But in time, with new memories and happier days, those memories demand less time in my mind. I still honor and appreciate how all my experiences have shaped me and still feel pain when recollecting them, but I am not a slave / captive to them. And neither are you :)

Nothing but love from a random person who wants to remind you to let yourself feel the weight of emotions and pain when you need to; but that you are not a captive to them and brighter days will come. Praise God.
