If you have sold or somehow don't have the directional blocking implant at the end of the game then don't worry it is really easy to beat the final boss without it.
Directional blocking and the directional blocking implant are useless and time consuming. It is also inconsistent since there are more chances of error while using which will cost both health and stamina. Dodging is the best strategy because you can create distance between you and the enemies which helps understand or react to them better.
It is not completely useless for someone who relies on blocking throughout the the whole game.
