In this video we take the perfect day trip from Georgetown to explore some of the most incredible places on Penang Island.

First we ride the historic Penang Hill Funicular, the oldest funicular railway in Southeast Asia, to the top of Penang Hill where we discover one of the oldest rainforests in the world — over 130 million years old, even older than the Amazon.

We explore The Habitat rainforest park, walk the famous treetop canopy bridge, and enjoy some of the best panoramic views of Penang Island.

After that we visit the incredible Kek Lok Si Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia, known for its beautiful gardens, thousands of Buddha statues and the massive 30-metre statue of the Goddess of Mercy.
