In 1889 Reverend Francis John Jayne was consecrated as the Bishop of Chester and the youngest ever Bishop in the Church of England. To add to this Francis went on to become the longest ever serving Bishop of Chester and holding office for thirty years until he was forced to retire in 1919 due to failing health. Join me now as I tell of his life and I track down his final resting place in Bowdon, Cheshire where I visit his grave to see for myself where this great man was laid to rest.
