Taped in 2004, it describes the problem one business owner experienced, reflecting on the hundreds of millions of others who experienced the same thing in the US. This was before Obama was a thing, before Obamacare was ever coined as a pejorative, with these increases occurring under a strongly conservative Republican president. So, clearly the issue is not entirely political and the onus should not be placed onto one politician. The American health system has been sick itself for decades, continually getting sicker each year. It is time for Americans to stop blaming individual politicians and have an adult dialogue on how to improve health care and provide guaranteed access to it without these extreme costs.
