CAUSES OF BAD FLAVOR AND TASTE IN MILK

-Presence of some weeds in fodder such as swine cress.
-flavor producing substances present in feed.
-the problem is sporadic.
-strong smelling silage.
=feeding of cabbage
-feeding of garlic and onions
-multiplication of microorganisms in milk
-milk absorbs smell from dirty surroundings of milk parlor
-high concentrates feeding and feeding of roughages with strong smell such as maize and grass silage
-disturbances in digestive system
-long storage time of milk even in low temperature
-phosphorus defficiency
-exposure to sunlight
-wae badi

TREATMENT
-use odourous feed 4 to 5 hrs before milking
-use less green fodder and more wheat straw
-use phosphorus in daily ration
-use vitamin E 1 to 2 grams daily
-use yeast powder daily foe 1 to 2 months with additional benefits
-use deep boring water
use of vitamin C is also very beneficial
