Learn how to paint Non-Metallic Metal (NMM) steel using the Squidmar method, demonstrated on Lord Eternus from the Slaves to Darkness range.
In this tutorial, I break down my full process step by step — from the initial Dark Sea Blue basecoat to crisp edge highlights using Ice Yellow and Bleached Bone. This method focuses on contrast, light placement, and control to achieve a clean, readable steel effect without using metallic paints.
I’m by no means an expert — this is simply my current approach and what’s working for me right now. Hopefully it helps you improve your own NMM and gives you the confidence to give it a go.
🖌️ Paints Used:
