Описание: Analise Scarpaci has always loved performing, and from the young age of 10-years-old, she dreamed of singing and dancing on Broadway. Even after being diagnosed with a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease known as Crohn’s disease, she decided that nothing was going to stand in the way of her dreams. The rush of joy and excitement that she felt while on stage was something she simply couldn’t live without. After receiving the highest-quality medical care at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Analise learned that managing her disease while pursuing her dreams of Broadway stardom was possible.

With the help of her doctors, including Dr. Robbyn Sockolow, Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Analise and her family were able to determine that biological therapy would be the best treatment option for her lifestyle. Now, at the age of 18, Analise is not only going after her dreams while living with Crohn’s disease but she also helps the country’s leading researchers to better understand the many genetic and immunological underpinnings of Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD.
