An Ottawa cemetery operator is calling for assistance as the number of unclaimed bodies in Ontario continues to rise, placing strain on facilities and staff, Ottawa city staff are recommending that council scrap the planned Preston Street extension through the LeBreton Flats redevelopment area and instead focus on a pedestrian and cycling bridge to support the future transit-oriented neighbourhood and Ottawa residents are expressing confusion about changes to the city’s recycling system, including how and where to get replacement blue recycling bins and whether there is a cost associated.
