Engagement and attention exercises are probably one of the most important skills that you can develop and they should be a priority in any training program.

Having the ability to get your dog to engage and pay attention to you has many applications. Just think about how much you can accomplish if you have the option of engaging with your dog in most of the distracting situations that he/she may encounter.

These exercises have the potential to help dogs that are shy, reactive or aloof. It can help your puppy feel more confident when out of the house and it can booster the quality of your recall.
