IIM Ranchi celebrated this years International Women's Day with a rural twist. As a part of the UBA initiative, under the guidance of Prof. Gaurav Marathe, Mr. Mangesh Jha, Mr. Shashank Singh, Gender Sensitization Committee and MHRD, the student volunteers organized a Women's Day celebration at Rasabeda Village, which included a storytelling session by the Rural women entrepreneurs. Followed by a melodious welcome song sung by the beautiful ladies of the village, carry forward by Tug of War played among the villagers and students, which overjoyed all present.
The event also marked the inauguration of the Rasabeda Village Tourism initiative, a women-driven, women-managed, community tourism enterprise.
