From Gokyo to Cho Oyu Base Camp! Training above 5000m!

Описание: One of the most beautiful and breathtaking places on earth is high up in the Himalayas. I was gifted by our amazing planet to train at the Gokyo Lakes, the Gokyo valley, Gokyo Ri, the Cho Oyu Base Camp and close to the Tibetan border, above 5000 meters, while I was surrounded by giants of rock and ice, in order to get ready for the 8516m high Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain in the world solo without supplementary oxygen.

I take you with me on a typical acclimatization day in the Mount Everest region the Sagarmatha National Park. I show you how I slowly acclimatized at this altitude in order to achieve superhuman strength and therefore be able to climb 8000ers solo without bottled oxygen! Dedication, patience and consistent hard work or training is the key to every success in life!

Last year I climbed Mount Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain in the world right next to Mount Everest, solo without supplementary oxygen.

In this video I take you with my on a typical acclimatization day in the Mount Everest area the Sagarmatha National Park, while I was running from the little beautiful town called Gokyo to the Cho Oyu Base Camp on the Nepalese side. On this session I ran about 20 kilometers to the Chinese, Tibetan and Nepalese border an back. I passed by the beautiful Gokyo Lakes and summited Gokyo Ri after I came down from the Cho La Pass and the Ranjo Pass.

But eventually I also had to start mountaineering some day and climb my first mountain and gather my first experiences in the alps.

In this videoseries I share my journey, how I train to become a stronger mountaineer and in order to climb 8000ers solo without oxygen, since I plan to climb Annapurna and Mount Everest this year without supplementary or bottled oxygen. How I learned about connecting with friends, finding climbing partners, reading maps, and judging the weather, reflect on mistakes and how to become a better mountaineer.

The most important thing in life is to find your passion and I give a little glimpse how I approached that.
