Gas Pipeline Explosion Causes Massive Inferno In Malaysia | 10 News First

Описание: A massive inferno erupted in a Malaysian suburb outside Kuala Lumpur after a gas pipeline burst on Tuesday.

Footage of the blaze posted to social media showed the towering inferno visible from kilometres away after a gas pipeline at a station in Putra Heights, central Selangor state, exploded around 8:10am.

National oil company Petronas said in a statement that the affected pipeline has been isolated. Three gas stations nearby the fire site were not affected but have been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure.

Dozens of Selangor firefighters were dispatched to the scene, with seven victims reportedly rescued.

No fatalities have been reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
