GANJA SMUGGLING RACKET BUSTED- THREE INTERSTATE DRUG PEDDLERS HELD –SEIZED A TOYOTA INNOVA VEHICLE, (51)-KGs OF GANJA, NET CASH RS.4,500/-AND TWO MOBILE PHONES, TOTAL WORTH RS.10,37,000/- (TEN LAKHS & THIRTY SEVEN THOUSAND ONLY).

Today i.e. on 16-01-2020 morning, on receipt of credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone along with the Police Ghatkesar conducted joint operation and nabbed Three persons namely 1) Dharavath Vamshi Naik, 2)Dharavath RajuNaik, 3) Jatavath Rathanlal, all residents of Suryapet district indulged in procuring contraband drug i.e. Ganja from Visakhapatnam in order to transport it at Shiridi of Maharashtra State. Seized (51) kilograms of ganja, Innova vehicle, net cash Rs. 4,500/- cash and two mobile phones, all worth Rs.10,37,000/- from their possession.

DETAILS OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

1. Dharavath Vamshi Nayak S/o Lingaiah, age 24 yrs, Occ. Driver, R/o. HNo. 5-69, Pandu Naik Thanda, Durajpally (V), Chivemla (M), Suryapet District.

2. Dharavath Raju Naik S/o BajanaNayak, age27 yrs, Occ. Chef, R/o. Saidabashigudem Thanda,Suryapet District.

3. Jatavath Rathanlal S/o Ramsingh, age 32yrs, Occ. Labour, R/o Ramkoti Thanda,Chivemula(M),Suryapet District.
4. Amagoth Nagaraju S/o. Bikya, age 30 yrs, R/o Lal singh Thanda, Singireddypalem, Pen Pahad (M) of Suryapet District. (Absconding)

5. Karan R/o. Maharashtra (Absconding)

BRIEF FACTS:

Since last three years, the accused Daravath Vamshi Naik and his associates are indulging in selling of Ganja in and around Hyderabad City, as well as in other areas as per their feasibility. They used to procure Ganja from the agency area i.e. Dhaorakonda of Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh State at cheaper rate i.e. @RS.2000/- per kilogram, transport the same to Hyderabad and sell it to the needy customers at higher price i.e. @ Rs.7000/- and thereby gain illegal profits. Thus, the accused Dharavath Vamshi Naik along with his associate Amagoth Nagaraju earlier involved in peddling of narcotic drug (Ganja). For which, criminal cases were registered against them under the limits of KD Peta PS of Vizag and Janagoan PS of Warangal Commissionerate, in which they were arrested and remanded for judicial custody. Moreover, PD act was also initiated against Daravath Vamshi Naik in Warangal Commissionerate. However, they did not mend their ways and continued their illegal activities.

About three days ago, the accused Daravath Vamshi Naik along with his associates Dharavath Raju Naik and Jatavath Rathanlal went to Dharakonda village, Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh State and procured (51) KGs of Ganja from one Naresh in order to transport it to Shiridi of Maharashtra State via ORR by concealing IT underneath the seats, in side doors and bonnet of the Innova vehicle. As per the confession of arrested accused, two more accused namely Amagoth Nagaraju belongs to Suryapet district and Karan belongs to Shiridi of Maharashtra also involved in this offence.

Today morning hours, the above accused persons were arrested at Outer Ring Road, Ghatkesar Tollgate.

The following are the cases involved previously by the accused Daravath Vamshi Naik along with his associate Amgothu Nagaraju who is absconding.

1. Cr.No.225/2017 U/s 20 (b) NDPS Act of PS KD Peta, Vizag of AP (Case is PT),

2. Cr.No.215/2019 U/s 20 (b) NDPS Act of PS Janagoan of Waragnal Commissioenrate. (Case is PT)
The above arrests were made under the supervision of Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, Sri G.Sudheer Babu, IPS., Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda and Kum. Rakshitha K Murthy, IPS., Dy. Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone, under the direct guidance of Sri J. Surender Reddy, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, Sri T. Ravi Kumar, Inspector of Police, P. Raghuveer Reddy, Inspector of Police, Ghatkesar police station and Sub-Inspector Sri A.A.Raju, staff of Special Operations Team.
