Hey everyone, here is a quick job that we recently completed in a BMW i8 Roadster that came factory with the Harman Kardon system, which I believe is a rebrand of their typical "Hifi" option, but used for marketing in this specific model. Nothing about it hinted that it was anything like their other models with Harman Kardon. It was analog from the radio to the amplifier, and the OEM sound was atrocious and did not feature any real processing. Not many pictures of this one since everything is pretty much hidden and hard to get pics of. But we did an all Illusion Audio driven system processed and powered by Helix DSP's/amplifiers. All speakers were secured to the OEM locations using CAD-designed and laser-cut acrylic baffles that utilize the OEM mounting points, so absolutely no drilling or cutting was done to the body of the vehicle.
