From Dusty Shed to New Practical Workspace

Описание: In this DIY renovation project, I turn an old animal shed beside our barn into a practical and efficient workshop using reclaimed materials and smart upgrades — all on a tiny budget.

I repurpose old kitchen cabinets into a sturdy workbench, build shelves from planks salvaged from our old roof, and organize all my tools neatly on the walls. To brighten the space, I give the dark wooden walls a fresh coat of light blue paint.

For power, I run an electrical cable from our terrace, adding two outlets in the greenhouse along the way. In the workshop, I install four outlets and three LED light bars, controlled by a switch mounted right above the bench for easy access.

To deal with the dusty, uneven floor, I spread a layer of gravel — leftover from our septic tank installation — making the space cleaner and more level.

💰 Total cost: just €35 — for outlets, lights, switch, plug, and paint pigment. Everything else came from leftovers from previous projects and our home renovation.
