Wire - 16 square wire, 22 gauge half round wire
Pliers - flat nose, round nose, wire cutters
Wooden dowel or any small circular object

Hi friends, my name is Kaidy, and welcome or welcome back to the final video of my three part series on creating frames for your wire wrapped pendants. As usual, I’ve listed everything you’ll need for this project on the screen and in the description box.

So the last frame I’ll be showing you today is what I call the cross bridge frame.

This frame is achieved by creating the outer shape of the frame and then using additional wires to create a bridge that will secure the gemstone in the back of the pendant. The shape of your frame and the direction in which you arrange the bridge will depend on the size and shape of your gemstone or crystal. For this style of frame, I suggest leaving at least ¼ of an inch between the stone and your frame to accommodate other components of your design

As far as the wires needed for this project, I’m using 6 inches of square wire, two pieces of 2 ½ inches of half round wire and 4 additional inches of the half round wire for your bail. If you have round wire, you can substitute that for the square and half round wire. I find that I can secure my wires better with square and half round so that continues to be my preference.
