Описание: Arches National Park is in Moab, Utah. It became a national monument in 1929 during the presidency of Herbert Hoover. Several presidents were involved in enlarging and adjusting the boundaries of the monument. In 1971. President Richard M. Nixon changed the Arches from a National Monument to a National Park. President Clinton enlarged the Park in 1998. Over time some of the arches have fallen due to erosion by wind and water. There are over 2,000 arches in the Park and is open 24 hours a day and year-round. Closures, fees, passes, and permits are listed on the nps.gov website. The Park entrance is only 10 minutes from Moab. This 60 second adventure gives you only a sneak peak with the Park. The Devil’s Garden was unfortunately not added. Nearly 2 million have visited the Arches. It truly a marvelous experience to view the geologic features with historic and scientific opportunities to learn more about our natural settings.
