Camp Ignite Educates and Inspires Girls with Firefighting Fundamentals

The Charlotte Fire Department hosted Camp Ignite, its annual girls' summer camp, last week. This free five-day camp teaches high school girls firefighting fundamentals in a safe, dynamic and interactive environment. Campers train alongside female firefighters, breaking down barriers and stereotypes in a traditionally male-dominated career.
