Everyone is busy with assignments, exams, and classes, yet we still chose to come together — to sit side by side and feel a little bit of home during Losar.
We are far away, unable to be with our families on such an occasion, living in an unfamiliar place while holding on to familiar memories.
It may not have been the complete or perfect way of celebrating Guthuk, but we did what we knew, what we could, and what we had grown up seeing. We didn’t forget our roots — and that, I believe, is enough.
I want to preserve this moment here, so that whenever we feel like we can revisit and refresh our memories....
