In 2005, Roma Irshaad lost her father a shaheed of the devastating earthquake. With no brothers and seven sisters, she witnessed her mother’s endless struggle to raise and educate them alone. That’s when READ Foundation became their support.
All seven sisters studied through READ schools. Roma dreamed of becoming a doctor, but when her mother couldn’t afford it, she chose education instead — earning a Gold Medal and serving in multiple organizations.
A year ago, Roma lost her mother too. She almost gave up her studies — until her teachers reminded her, “Your mother struggled her whole life for your education — continue what she started.”
Today, Roma stands proud — a symbol of resilience, courage, and the true meaning of Tabeer.
