In this episode I am camping at Badfontein Guest Farm near Aliwal North on the banks of the Orange River.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to visit. At night it is pitch dark and dead quiet. I enjoyed looking at the stars and listening to the sounds of silence. You can also try to catch the "big one" in the river.
There are also self catering accommodation available if you do not enjoy camping.
The farm got its name from the natural hot water spring, which is not too far from the camp site. The spring was turned into a pool, so you can swim all year round.
I can recommend Badfontein to all campers who enjoy a rustic camp site.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
I really enjoyed my stay.
