Using an early-60s folk guitar made in Finland tuned to Open G, Robert plays the opening riff of the Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar," demoing the pickup dry (without effects), and with medium and heavy distortion.

Wade Costenbader of Victory Pickup makes a variety of low-noise, beautiful-looking retro-styled pickups ranging from about $50-90, depending on design, features and accessories included.
