The strikes followed a broad wave of Hezbollah operations on Wednesday targeting Israel's most sensitive defence infrastructure, including the Iron Dome radar array in Haifa, the Arrow missile base at Ein Shemer, Tel HaShomer military headquarters and Haifa Naval Base. Israel has responded with strikes across southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley and Beirut's southern suburbs, killing more than ten people. UN peacekeepers have confirmed ground clashes along the border.
