In the following video we explain how the Umayyad Caliphate expands itself until it conquest most of the Iberian Peninsula between 711 and 726. From this moment, the Arabic culture will have a huge influence in the Iberian Peninsula, which will be reflected in several of the most representative buildings built until s. XV.
However, the most incredible examples were built during the next periods:
-Cordoba Emirate (756-929): with examples like Mosque of Cordoba
-Cordoba Caliphate (929-1031): period of the amazing Medina Azahara
-First Taifas Realms (1009-1144): time when Royal Fortresses of Seville are built
-Second Taifas Realms (1144-1170): when we find the Giralda of Seville
-Third Taifas Realms (1237-1492): in this period began the construction of the Alhambra of Granada
