Описание: The Digital Construction Laboratory is a facility for researchers and the construction industry to explore next-generation construction methods using digital technologies. From the design and development of small-scale sculptures to the large scale freeform construction, the facility allows trials using different concrete materials and techniques. The Digital Construction facility at Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Digital Construction provides state-of-the-art equipment for 3D concrete printing technology. Located at Swinburne’s Advanced Technologies Centre, this state-of-the-art facility enables 3D concrete printing at multiple scales. A wide range of 3D printing machines and robots are available, including powder-bed 3D printing machines to print high-resolution small samples and extrusion-based 3D printers for large scale structures. The facility also contains concrete batching and mixing equipment, concrete rheometer and other characterisation equipment. The DC lab hosts national and international visiting researchers and supports a vibrant and innovative research culture.
