What's Up, Folks,
We did the last Ski Trip for the Season at Nakiska Ski Resort. It is the closest mountain ski resort to the Calgary Area. Only about 1 hour drive without traffic in the morning.
We tried to show you a bit of the ride there, the food options, the lounge area, and some skiing footage. There is a small bit of us going to the only gas station in the area, so if you need gas there is one station near by.
The food isn't cheap but the portions are nice. It is the only food option in the area, so if you don't want to buy food, just bring your own. They have microwaves available free to use so you can bring stuff like ramen noodles, or things to reheat and heat. I would recommend packing some food because the food is not cheap.
Remember to buy a Kanaskis pass when heading to Nakiska as it is required now. If you need to go somewhere cool to ski without making to far of a ride, Nakiska is a perfect choice. There is also the COP in the Calgary but that isn't in the mountains.
