MTX 9500 15 versus Sundown X-12 Subwoofer Showdown Challenge Part 1 of 2

I made this video to have a subwoofer showdown between the MTX 9500 15 & The Sundown X-12. This video was made to help people that are interested in these subwoofers be able to see and hear them side by side. Also I wanted to make this video to see how the sundown would do against my favorite subwoofer the Mtx 9500. I have read a lot of online car audio forums and a bunch people were saying one sub was better then the other while never having owned either one. These people would say things like my friend had a sundown and it was load so it's better then the Mtx ETC ... I had called around and everyone was pretty much 50/50 deciding one subwoofer over the other. That's when I thought I would buy both and make a video and let the world decide which subwoofer looks and sounded better.
Here are a few specs on each subwoofer
MTX 9500 15 inch dual 4 ohm and it is wired to 2 ohm.
The power is rated at 1000 watts RMS but this subwoofer is highly underrated and could easily take 2k, 3k everyday no problem.

Box specs 1.5 cu ft tuned to 35 hz
Standard cheap prefab box just for a quick cheap test.

Sundown X-12 Is a dual 2 ohm 12 inch subwoofer
The sub is wired to 1 ohm to get max power from the amp. Also like the Mtx the sundown is highly underrated and can easily take double or triple the suggested power.

The Mtx is 13 pounds heavier 🤓
The amplifier that I will be using is the kicker 1000.1 it is a mono amp and it puts out 1145 RMS at 13.0 volts it makes more power with higher volts. This amp is a beast of an amp and it is 2006 cea compliment and it's also underrated.
So the this is a very close match up . The sundown is 250 watts more powerful but the Mtx has a bigger magnet and weighs 13 pounds more ...
And yes I know these are cheap prefab boxes !!!!
They are brand new and only are going to be used for this video so that both boxs will fit in my trunk so we can see them go at it side by side !
