Anda Lāce's performance “Variants”
On 10 September 2016, during the modern culture forum White Night, from 22:00 to 24:00 in the Main Gallery of the
Mūkusala Art Salon
In her performance Variants, artist Anda Lāce together with composers Evija Skuķe and Platons Buravickis, as well as speakers-singers
plays out different scenarios of the conflict/development/survival of the inner “me”, which eventually will acquire the form of a purifying ritual.
“The main role in the performance has been assigned to the sponges (others), what they do with the poison they have collected and what
scenarios can be ascribed to them. Is it possible to neutralise the poison, or does the sponge infect other sponges, or does it perish.
Over the course of the performance the variant will gradually take over the main role” (Anda Lāce)
