Chinese ribbon dance: A ritual from the times of the fairies

Описание: Chinese ribbon dance is enchanting as it depicts the gods and the nymphs flying in the sky. It is both philosophical and mythical. The ribbon represents the Silk Road starting in China and ending in Europe; the moves come from the paintings in the caves of Dunhuang, a city in China.

Hangyu (Joanna) Zhou, managing director of UK China Performing Arts performs this incredible dance for us while also explaining what ribbon dance represents in Chinese culture.
