There are only four pianists whose touch is so precise that you can recognise them almost from a single note. Josef Hofmann, Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Grigory Sokolov, and Ivo Pogorelich. This is an order of piano playing I'm not sure will appear again within my lifetime. And when your audience forget they're supposed to applaud after you've finished playing, you know you've done something right!
