With the cab car shortage due to PTC installation straining fleet availability, NJT has been forced to temporarily return one of its original F40s to revenue service as an east-end cab car stand-in. 4119 last ran in revenue service almost 5 years ago, and has since been relegated to non-revenue, MOW, and other moves. It was good to see it running with a revenue train, and in this light, the locomotive really shone. On the other end of the 3-car Comet V consist, and providing HEP is GP40PH-2B 4202, an ex-New York Central / Penn Central locomotive; one of the oldest still in revenue service with NJT, having been built in 1965. Enjoy the action, with clips taken at Bay Street, Bloomfield, and Watsessing Avenue =)
