Powered by the original 4 cylinder 75 horse power gas engine with water proof ignition and 24 volt electrical system. 4 speed manual transmission with 2 to 4 wheel transfer case. 4 wheel independent suspension makes these M151A1s very smooth off road. This M151A1 starts easily and runs good, the brakes are good and everything works as it should. This MUTT also has the Fording system installed for deep water driving. First put into service in Vietnam, the M151 played an active part in American military operations well into the 1980s, when it was phased out in favor of the HMMWV., The Tet offensive was in 1968, the deadliest week of the Vietnam War with a loss of 543 Americans.
