There are many methods for DIY tire making, but I’m focusing on two: Open Mold Casting and Closed Mold Injection. Today, we’ll dive deep into the Open Method. Its main advantage is simplicity and effectively fighting the biggest enemy of casting — Air Bubbles.
I’ll show you the entire process step-by-step, using a complex Lada Niva tire tread to test the limits of this method.
