After finding my newly cemented walkway was elevated on gravel without support to keep the gravel from eroding out with rain and settling dirt, I came up with a nifty trick to add a new "foundation" along the edge while keeping the gravel from coming out.
Hope this trick helps others on their own home repair journey.
