There's a pattern to the creeps route. The ones entering from the left will exit to the right. The ones entering from above will exit to the left. The ones from the right will exit to the right. This means most creeps will end up attacking the right exit, so focus your strong towers there early.
The Vanguard's EMP grenades can disable the Behemoth's energy shield which makes them a lot softer to kill once they start charging. I placed Vanguards at the lower right defense line, because this is where most Behemoths attack. It's best to upgrade to Vanguards on or before Wave 5.
BTW, you can plant unlimited mines prior to starting the 1st wave and you don't even have to use Airbornes in the game. You've seen it here first folks. 😉
