After struggling to get the day started with a chilly 12° morning, Thumbs Up and Sweets still manage to keep moving up and down the trail!
After a steady morning climb, they reach Blood Mountain—the highest point on the AT in Georgia. For lunch, they settle in at Mountain Crossings where they enjoy a couple of pizzas and pack fitting by “The Pack Whisperer”, Just Bill.
After a nice meal, they push up and over a few more mountains—getting beautiful sunset views—until finally settling in a Hogpen Gap where the stealth camped near the water spring and got some deserved rest.
