Two ants facing the same direction (both facing upwards) got stuck in a recursive loop while traversing the grid.
The Ant's dynamics change tremendously once there is an obstruction or an early change in external factors (in this case, another ant's cell patterns). In a normal scenario, when these two ants' starting points are farther apart and do not come in each others' way, they would each continue their paths normally until their respective "highway" emerges.
Instead, the closely-placed ants mess with each others' paths. Now they're stuck like this forever (presumably).
