On the Isle of Tiree RSPB Scotland is making a disused World War 2 airstrip into a haven for ground nesting birds. Terns. oystercatchers and other birds made the area their home as it was quiet and the old runways provided gravelly areas to nest. Over time vegetation has grown back, reducing the area available for the birds. But now warden John Bowler explains how we're clearing areas for the birds to use.
