This dance, titled ‘ Rondo’, was choreographed by one of the College’s brilliant ballet teachers, Laura Macken. This original work was performed during the College of Dance’s 2024 Annual Showcase in the Helix Theatre, Dublin. Rondo, meaning a musical form with a recurring leading theme that is often found in the final movement of a sonata or concerto, was a stunning ballet piece featuring the senior ballet class.
Danced predominantly en point, this highly technical performance really showed off the skill and poise of the dancers. Featuring the music of Antonín Dvořák, a Czech composer the audience really loved this performance.
