God Is Not Angry With Us Anymore

Описание: Did you know that God cannot punish us for our sins? All the punishment for sin has already been given to Christ. Isaiah 53: 10 says, "But the Lord was pleased to crush (that is to punish) Christ..." Romans 8:1 says, "That there is therefore now no condemnation (punishment) for those who are in Christ Jesus."

You see, God disciplines us like a loving father, but He does not punish us. He can never be angry with us anymore. You see, His justice was satisfied at the cross.

Some Christians interpret all calamities in their life as God trying to even with him. A sick child, an accident, a financial problem - all of these are sometimes falsely believed to be God punishing us for our sins. In fact, some people try to punish themselves for their sins. They often brood over their mistakes, and even injure themselves physically, just to try to satisfy God. But all such attempts to pay for our sins are diabolical. Satan doesn't want us to understand that Christ paid it all.

Many years ago, a father and his daughter were walking through the grass on a Canadian prairie. In the distance, they saw a prairie fire, and eventually they realized it would engulf them. The father knew there was only one way to escape. They would quickly begin a fire right where they were, burn a large patch of grass, and then they would jump into it as the fire drew near. The fire actually did approach them. The girl was terrified by the raging flames. But the father assured her, "The flames cannot get to us, we're standing where the fire has already burned."

And friends, are you afraid of God's judgement? If you have trusted Christ as Savior, you can never come under His wrath. You see, when we depend upon Him, we are secure. We are where the wrath of God has already been. God is not punishing you for your past sin, or even your present sin, He disciplines us like a heavenly Father. But friends, it is important to know that God does not and God will not ever punish you for your sin.

Christ paid for your sin. The wrath of God has been satisfied on your behalf. Praise God for the cross!
