Following 'Pinball' Steve as he bounces from side to side of the trail.
Cwmcarn Forest in South Wales is a premier destination for mountain biking, offering a variety of trails suited to experienced riders. The forest features three main mountain bike trails: the red-rated Twrch Trail, the red-rated Cafall Trail, and the extreme-rated Y Mynydd downhill trail, with the newer Pedalhounds trail also available.
The Twrch Trail is a 15.5 km singletrack route through broadleaf and conifer woodlands and open ridge tops, known for its technical sections and dramatic views of the Bristol Channel.
The Cafall Trail, at approximately 14.2 km, provides a challenging mix of tough climbs, tight singletrack, and steep technical descents, with significant elevation gain and remote sections.
The Y Mynydd course is a man-made downhill trail with a choice of lines, featuring berms, switchbacks, a tunnel, rock steps, a bridge, a hip jump, and a quarry gap, suitable only for highly skilled riders.
