The Khojaly Genocide... Eight Families Completely Vanished...

Armenians, who had territorial claims against Azerbaijan after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, besieged Khojaly, where 7,000 Azerbaijani Turks lived, in the last days of 1991.

Intensifying their months-long attacks, Armenians entered Khojaly from three sides.

In the Khojaly massacre, 613 defenseless Azerbaijani Turks, including 106 women, 70 elderly, and 63 children, lost their lives.

Armenian forces took 1,275 people captive, and news of 150 of them has not been received to this day.

Eight families were completely eradicated in the genocide. 25 children lost both parents, while 130 children lost one parent.
