Smooth-On SO-Strong Flesh Tints | SilentMode's VLOG

Описание: Smooth-ON have added Medium Flesh and Dark Flesh to their SO-Strong resin pigments, and I found out by accident on their website - so I had to check these flesh tints out!

BACKGROUND
While looking for materials to purchase from the Bentley Advanced Materials (benam.co.uk) site, I noticed that Smooth-On had added SO-Strong Medium Flesh and SO-Strong Dark Flesh pigments to their list, along with the original Flesh pigment (not referred to as Light Flesh, although it still says Flesh on the bottle).

Neither Medium nor Dark Flesh is available as a sample (yet?), so I ordered a 2oz bottle of each.

The three Flesh tints were sampled using Smooth-On's Smooth-Cast 326 EU polyurethane resin, which is a colour matching resin: the plastic cures to the colour of the pigment added to it. The silicone mould is of a MODE 1x1 brick I designed and printed using my Ender 3 printer.

I compared SO-Strong Dark Flesh to UVO Brown, which is what I previously used for a skin colour closer to my complexion. UVO Brown is probably more suited to LEGO figures than the more realistic SO-Strong Dark Flesh.

Whether it's to do with the latest trends in "wokeness" or "inclusivity", I think it's great that Smooth-ON have introduced both Medium and Dark Flesh pigments: if for no other reason than not having to mix them myself!
